TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor William Dobinson Halliburton, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date15 December 1902
DescriptionSir M Foster has asked Harrison to acknowledge receipt of Halliburton's letter of 13 December, and to say that it will receive every consideration. Notes there is a provision in the regulations for the Government Grant which seems intended to meet the difficulty Halliburton mentions, which is that if grantees have not obtained definite results in their research, all that is required of them is an interim report.

As a postscript Harrison has since discussed the matter with Foster and Foster thinks that the regulation he has called attention to meets Halliburton's difficulty. A change as Halliburton suggests in the time of paying the grants and reporting on the researches, would mean the enactment of an entirely new set of regulations as to the times of meeting of the boards and general Committee.
