TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to, Sir Michael Foster, Secretary of the Royal Society
Date20 January 1903
DescriptionSending a letter from Mrs [Maria] Ogilvie Gordon. Has sent a memo to the Geology Committee regarding the matter, as Foster requested. Professor [Thomas George] Bonney is anxious that Gordon should be made to understand the the question of publishing her paper cannot be reopened. The only question remains over reading it, which would consign it to the Archives. Gordon's note suggests she does not understand the procedure, or her wishes are opposite to what Professor [Edwin Ray] Lankester told Foster. He said the paper should be read, Gordon said it should not be archived. Harrison asks which of the two should happen.
