Title | Copy letter from Michael Foster, to the Secretary of State, India Office, S.W. |
Date | 13 July 1903 |
Description | In the course of the investigations into tropical diseases carried out under the auspices of the Royal Society it has become urgently desirable to have under observation in this country animals infected with Surra. At the request of the Society, Captain Rogers left some infected animals with the superintendent of the Zoological Gardens of Calcutta, with a view to their being sent through the Brown Institution of the University of London, for the use of the Society. The animals never arrived and Foster has just learned that they cannot be despatched without permission. Asks if permission be granted. |
