TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr David Nabarro, 6 Crown Office Row, Temple
Date27 January 1904
DescriptionHarrison explains that he had not responded to Nabarro's letter of 25 January due to uncertainty concerning the quantity of material to be set in print for the Committee from the documents submitted. The decision has been made to set up the Abstract for printing, so he is unable to return it until it comes back from the printers, at which point it will be sent with the manuscript and a proof. If "tabulated account of animal experiments" refers to the bulk of the submitted papers, Harrison is uncertain about returning it on the understanding that it has become a Committee document, so he asks for time to consult with colleagues before making a final decision.

Harrison apologises for the late notice of the meeting, which was a consequence of being short staffed and changing duties in the Office, but does note that Nabarro had been informed that he would hear two days prior that he would be requested to attend, and should have realised that he would be asked to give a statement regarding his work. He further notes that due to the volume of business, the Committee do not have time to listen to long documents being read to them.
