| Description | Harrison reports that Sir Michael Foster has received a letter from the Colonial Office asking for assistance in finding a suitable candidate for the post of Director of a bacteriological laboratory to be established by the Government of Mauritius, with a preference expressed for a candidate from the Pasteur Institute.
Foster suggested that the Tropical Disease Committee be consulted and the Chairman be asked to write to Roux or Metschnikoff requesting recommendations, and that a memorandum be circulated to Committee members to inform them and to ask that any individual recommendations be sent to the Chairman, so that they may be submitted to Roux or Metschnikoff.
The Committee could decide on their recommendation at their next meeting on 12 February. Harrison asks whether Lankester approves of the plan outlined. |
