TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Thomas George Bonney, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date12 February 1904
DescriptionHarrison, in response to Bonney's letter, has referred to notes concerning distribution of copies of the Funafuti reports, and discovered no instructions were given regarding contributors, which explains why nothing has been done about the matter. The suggestion which Harrison and Bonney made together was presented to the Royal Society's officers, who instructed that the list of newspapers and exchange Institutions proposed were to be acted upon and that Committee members who asked for copies were to receive them. He intends to interpret Bonney and Professor John Wesley Judd's question as a request and so is having copies sent to him.

Harrison adds that he will, on his own authority, act upon Bonney's requisition and send copies to the various contributors immediately. He also apologises for having unintentionally misled Judd, who asked him a question as Harrison was waiting to attend the President in the Meeting Room, which resulted in a hasty answer and a misapprehension of the meaning of his question.
