TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to the Editor of the Times
Date7 May 1904
DescriptionIn response to Mr Grigg's letter of the previous day, Harrison notes how sorry he was to hear that the list of new Fellows of the Royal Society only reached them the previous evening. After careful enquiry, he assures the Editor that it was posted before 6pm on Thursday afternoon, and suggests that the delay occurred after they posted it from the Burlington House Post Office. Harrison will be glad if the Editor is able to trace the cause of the delay, and assures him that they would never knowingly act with discourtesy towards the Times.
