TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor John Bretland Farmer, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date9 May 1904
DescriptionIn response to Farmer's letter, Harrison explains it is impractical to arrange gas lighting for the microscopes at the Soirée. There is no gas within reach of the exhibition tables, and he wishes to avoid the danger of gas tubes on such an occasion. The arrangements for showing microscopes are in the hands of professional firms and they can only trust in their ability to arrange suitable lighting.
