TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to William Bateson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date21 October 1904
DescriptionAfter some delay among the referees of the Sectional Committee to consider the second report presented by Bateson to the Evolution Committee, the manuscript has now returned, and Geikie has been instructed to draw Bateson's attention to a critical point which states that the bulky memoirs are below the standard that might be exacted by the Royal Society. Because of inadequate revision the content is cumbersome. The corrections on the first report amounted to the cost of setting it up in type. Geikie asks whether it would be better for the authors to revise this manuscript.
