TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Charles Chree, Fellow of the Royal Society, Old Deer Park, Richmond, Surrey
Date27 October 1904
DescriptionAn application has been received from Dr Georg Neumayer for the loan of the original Magnetic Observations made by him in Melbourne in 1858-64. The original printed volumes were deposited with the Royal Society, and Harrison has found a record of their having been received in fifteen volumes in the year 1870. Yet there is no trace of them in the archives or Library. Asks Chree whether they are at Kew, as the date they were received was just before the Royal Society moved [into Burlington House]. Gives full description of the collection.
