TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to [Sir Michael Foster], [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date2 November 1904
DescriptionA meeting of the Indian Advisory Committee will be arranged as Foster has his material ready, relating the documents submitted by the India Office, and Foster's minute stating he would contact the Secretary of the Royal Sewage Commissioners[?] with a view of making a proposal to the Committee.

Awaiting[?] an opinion of the members of the Tropical Diseases Committee on the documents sent by the Colonial Office regarding African Coast Fever before taking action, especially regarding Dr Koch's preventative method, and it would be remiss on the part of the Royal Society to send Koch the adverse reports of his method from the Colonial Office. He may have received a copy of the criticism from the South African authorities. But before they take the serious step of informing the Colonial Office that Koch's method is a failure, he should be asked if he has any remarks, and this should be done before the Tropical Diseases Committee.
