TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor Harry Marshall Ward, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date5 November 1904
DescriptionGeikie notices that Ward has proposed Frederick Frost Blackman as one of the referees for A J Ewart's paper 'The Ascent of Water in Trees', communicated by Francis Darwin. Blackman is not a Fellow, and it is usual to select the referees from the Fellowship. No doubt there was a good reason for this, but if it was an oversight, and if he can name a desirable Fellow, then kindly send his name.
