TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Sir Robert Bell, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date20 December 1904
DescriptionIn reply to requests for advice on the subject of Bell's Eros question, the Royal Society have been urged from more than one source to appoint a small committee to consider the Eros question, on which there would be representatives of the various Observatories that own observations of the planet. The Officers of the Royal Society propose to submit this question to the Council on 19 January. As the subject was started by Bell's application on behalf of Mr Hicks, it is right he is told. Any remarks Bell has to offer would be most welcome. Cambridge Observatory would not[?] usually be represented on such a committee. As the work he would like the grant of £50 is necessary, the committee will endorse it.
