TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary of the Royal Society
Date14 December 1889
DescriptionRix sends the list for Professor Newton's correction, and has noted Foster's instructions regarding the supply of additional lists from the Royal Society Treasurer John Evans, and Professor Judd.

Mr Holt had already sent sheet 25 for press, and was going to send sheets 26 and 27 today, but Rix has kept them back for Foster's corrections. He warns him not to depend on the titles in making the medical elisions. Holt has examined the papers and believes he has omitted every paper which is merely technical. Dr Klein has already returned sheets 25, 26 and 27 without any elisions, but Rix repeats that the title can be misleading.

Rix will attend to Foster's instructions regarding the Council agenda.

A postscript notes that in making the Committee list, he has left out the Lendenfeld Committee as it is being wound up, and asks if he should include the Lawes Agricultural Committee. Rix wishes to confirm that it is not a Royal Society Committee, and asks if the Society representatives need re-appointing.
