TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Royal Society]
Date21 March 1889
DescriptionRix points out an error in the Government Grant list, namely that Geikie and Professor James Dewar were put down as representatives of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, when it should have been Archibald Geikie and Alexander Buchan. No summons has gone to Professor Dewar, so if they withold his summons to the General Committee it would correct the error, and Rix asks if he should do this.

A letter from the Treasury with regard to the 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers' notes that they accede to the request that surplus copies be handed to the form selected as the publishers of the new volume.
