DescriptionRix asks that he be forgiven for the two week or more delay in responding to her letter about the Scientific Relief Fund, which was due to the pressures of work. Rix explains the fund is for the relief of needy men who are known as having been engaged in physical research or as men of scientific achievement, or for the relief of their widows or families. Applicants must be recommended by the president of one of the seven chartered scientific societies.
