Description | Rix states that they had no idea that there was anything doubtful about Etta Johnstone and Thomas Carnelly's paper, with the sheet containing it having been printed off long ago and the paper read on 14 February. He has previously been instructed that 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' is to be issued month by month, as soon after the month's end as possible, and so the February edition was on the point of being issued.
Rix asks if they are to keep back 'Proceedings' for a couple of months until the papers have been voted by the Committee of Papers, stating that they can only keep up to date if they assume that 'Proceedings' papers which have been read are safe to publish. The paper in question has been sent to Dr Klein, but if an unfavourable report is received they will have a problem.
Rix encloses [not included] the Council Minute papers for next meeting. |
