TitleCopy letter from an unknown correspondent, to Mr Dressler, 2 Clapham Road, S.W.
Date27 April 1889
DescriptionNotes that the Royal Society's first Soirée is to take place on 8 May 1889. It will be for gentleman only, and is usually less crowded than the ladies' conversazione at which Dressler usually helps, with 450 people in attendance last year. Asks if they can supply materials, make and serve claret -cup; supply bowls and glasses; supply sandwiches which are in 'quality, quantity & kinds' the same as those for the Society of Antiquaries last year, and plates.
