TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Henry Woodward, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date2 May 1889
DescriptionThe volume of the 'Proceedings of the Chicago Academy', borrowed by Woodward on 15 October 1886, is still outstanding. Rix notes that in response to a reminder in July 1887, he was told that Woodward's assistant had returned it, but they can say that it was never returned. It will be reported as a lost volume at the next Library Committee meeting, but as this may not be held until the autumn Rix asks to be informed if Woodward locates the volume before that meeting.
