Description | Rix has tried his best on Wright's behalf in the matter of 'Voyages and Travels' by John Harris, but the officers of the Royal Society do not wish to purchase it at any price. The main reason is because the Society already have in their library the travels of Hakluyt, Turchas and others from whom the collection is 'principally obtained'. Rix regrets the trouble taken in sending the volumes, but notes that he did not request them. |
