TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir James Risdon Bennett, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date30 May 1889
DescriptionAsks Bennett as Chairman of the Scientific Relief Committee for the present session, if he should call a meeting. There is an application which has been standing for a couple of months but is noted by Dr Russell as not urgent, and one other from a Fellow of the Royal Society who asks for relief from his subscription on the grounds of poverty. Although not pressing, June 20th is likely to be the last Council before the long vacation, so the committee should probably meet before that date if it does so prior to October.

Rix proposes the 7 or 12 June, and asks for Bennett's sanction to issue summonses for one of these dates.
