TitleCopy letter from an unknown correspondent, to the Superintendent, Vine Street Station
Date13 June 1889
DescriptionAsks that they send three constables to manage the traffic at the Royal Society's next Soirée on 19 June, noting that they expect between 600 and 700 guests. It is a ladies' evening and most will bring carriages. Although only two constables were used last year, they feel it to be safer to request three. If two of the three could be the men on duty at the Royal Academy, it would be considered a favour.
