DescriptionWith reference to his letter of 18 March, to which no reply has been received, Rix has been instructed by John Evans, Treasurer to the Royal Society, to ask for the cheque due on account of the Krakatoa Report to 31 December 1888 for 243 pounds, seven shillings and eight pence. The funds of the Society are noted as being in a 'very low condition'.
