TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Michael Rogers Oldfield Thomas, British Museum (Natural History)
Date25 June 1889
DescriptionThomas' proof of 'explanation of plate' is to hand, and Rix states that as it was a first proof, corrections were not included. Rix kept it back until the last moment in case Poulton's additions might be included, but as holding it for any longer would delay publication, Rix has sent Thomas' corrections and additions for the printer to attend to.

The plates have been sent to press. He notes that the order for a revise should have come from him, otherwise Rix has no check upon the engraver's charges.
