TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to [John William Strutt] Lord Rayleigh, [Royal Society]
Date4 July 1889
DescriptionRix asks if there is anything to be done regarding suggestions on the enclosed report on Professor William Crawford Williamson by William Carruthers, as he is ready to send the manuscript to the printers.

John William Mallet's paper on the atomic weight of gold has been voted for 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', though the third referee advised 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' instead.

Rix also lists five papers not set up in type for the meeting, which have not been passed by the Committee of Papers, and asks whether he should go on with those that are considered 'safe' to save time.
