TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Cambridge Scientific Instrument Company
Date9 July 1889
DescriptionTheir second estimate has been submitted to John Evans, Treasurer of the Royal Society, who wants Rix to say that six colours does not seem adequate. He suggests that if they can print in six colours for 30 pounds, then 40 pounds should be a fair price for printing in nine colours; and if they are willing to undertake the plate on those terms he will commend the Committee of Papers to place the work with them.
