TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to John Evans, Treasurer, Royal Society
Date13 July 1889
DescriptionRix records that they have sent copies of the enclosed postcard [not included] to the Royal Society Fellows abroad, but asks for Evans' instructions before sending them to Foreign Members of the Society. Rix understands that several orders for the 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers' were given on the basis that the Society was likely in need of the funds, and he had doubts as to whether Evans would want to Foreign Members to receive an advertisement that could be read as an appeal.

Rix has several cheques for Evans to sign, and as he is badly in want of funds hopes that Evans will call when the opportunity arises.
