DescriptionIn response to his circular and letter of 4 June, Foster is able to inform Wallis that the President and Council of the Royal Society have appointed Dr George Buchanan and Dr Edward Ballard to represent the Society at the International Congress of Hygiene and Statistics being held in London in 1891, and that both men have agreed to serve as delegates.
