TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr [William] Marcet, Fellow of the Royal Society, Malagny, Versoix, Genève
Date25 July 1889
DescriptionRix sends plans for the two plates to accompany Marcet's paper, and asks that he let him know if he approves of the arrangement, and in particular whether he thinks the corner figure of a piece of apparatus is too small. He reports that the engraver believes it will come out clearly, and that any increase in size will require another plate, thus doubling the cost as three plates require a four plate stone.

If Rix receives a quick response, they can let him have proofs of the plates by the middle of August. A postscript notes that the colours will be represented by different kinds of line.
