TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to oberbibliothekar, K Universitätsbibliothek, Strassburg
Date29 July 1889
DescriptionRix provides an answer, following their letter of 20 July and his interim reply, explaining the mistake which has occurred.

Their application of 30 October 1888 was for volume 20-46, 150 and 162 part 2, and he explains that although volumes 20-46 are out of print and they have no stock of them, volumes 150 and 162 part 2 were granted by the Council. The mistake occurred when their printers printed the list of grants, showing those for Strassburg as volumes 150-162 part 2. Rix apologises and explains that the only thing to be done is to retain the two volumes they asked for, and return the rest. He instructs them not to pay carriage on the return parcel, and states that they will refund carriage paid on the outward parcel once they have been informed of the amount.
