TitleCopy letter from Alfred H White, to Dr Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date29 August 1889
DescriptionWhite wishes to consult with Foster, on the advice of John Evans the Royal Society Treasurer, concerning press copies of the Lendenfeld monograph for reviewing. White and Evans drew up a list comprising of Nature, Annals & Magazine of Natural History, Athenaeum, and the American Journal of Science, but could think of no other suitable journals. White further notes although he can think of no suitable German journal, as it seems a good proportion of the edition will not be bought, they should try to get the book noticed abroad as much as possible.

White notes that in Johann Wilhelm Spengel's Zoological Jahrbücher the Lendenfeld monograph was referred to as if already published, despite apparently having been written at the beginning of the year, and so this probably excludes futher mention in that publication.
