TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to John Evans, the Verderers, Bradenham, Thetford
Date16 September 1889
DescriptionRix reports that Professor Edwin Ray Lankester thinks that the Lendenfeld monograph ought to be advertised on the front page of 'Nature' and in the 'Zoological Anzeiger', and asks if he can go to this expense. He also asks that if, in addition to the four journals listed for review copies, they might also send one to the Times newspaper. Earlier in the year they reviewed 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' volumes and devoted a whole column to them, and treated the Royal Society very well over Krakatoa. Rix could ask Mr Keltie, who often wites their science reviews, whether it would get an adequate notice.
