Description | In response to their letter of 3 August 1889, Rix replies that there is an index to volumes 1-120 of 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', and their request will be presented at the next Committee meeting to consider grants of this kind. Rix also sends thanks for their return of the volumes sent in error, but notes that their genorous note stating that postage was paid was unnecessary as the mistake was by the Society. He speculates that this was stated in error in any case, as the postage was also paid by the Society. |
