Description | Rix reminds Foster, in respect to the enclosed letters from Mr Haldane to Sir Henry Roscoe and from Roscoe to Foster, that the memorandum on the Officers agenda paper of the last meeting reads "M.F. Write [Michael Foster write]", but this appears not to have been done.
He suggests that there is no reason to believe that the journals aside from the Chemical News have offended. Rix further states that the Chemical News, along with Nature, the Philosophy Magazine and the Electrician have the standing permission of the Royal Society President to publish papers read at their meetings, providing that the author's consent has been granted, but that this has evidently not been granted in Haldane's case. Rix encloses an envelope so that Haldane's letter may be returned to Roscoe. |
