TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to E Cocking, 5A Pall Mall East, S.W.
Date6 December 1889
DescriptionA paper by Captain William de Wiveleslie Abney has been presented to the Royal Society and is to be read at next Thursday's meeting. Rix notes that in it, he refers to apparatus used in an experiment communicated to the Photographic Society, and which he repeats in the Journal of the Photographic Society, Volume XIII, number 2, November 1888. He writes to ask if they can loan the woodcut to the Royal Society for insertion into Abney's paper.

Rix notes that an early reply would be appreciated as the paper will soon be read.
