TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Joseph Larmor, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date19 April 1905
DescriptionSir A Geikie has been discussing the draft advertisements Larmor left for him to see and he and the Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] found the question of having a fixed uniform price for the volumes of the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' and 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' such a difficult one that they thought it better that Harrison defer the insertion of the full advertisements until they could discuss the matter with Larmor after the Easter holidays and that in the meantime, in order to put out an advert of the new issues this week, they should insert an abridged version of the draft advert at once. Has sent the enclosed [not enclosed] to 'Nature' and the 'Athanaeum' for this week and will send one suitably modified to 'Science'. Also encloses a letter from Frowde [not enclosed].
