TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir William Crookes, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date29 May 1905
DescriptionHas had a letter from Professor [William Edward] Ayrton, who had enquired of Mr Siemens about the Tantalum Glow Lamp, and the Society are sending an invitation to the Siemens firm accordingly. Professor Ayrton suggests that it would be a good thing also to have the new Osmium Glow Lamp and Harrison has told him that he did not think there could be any doubt that it would prove interesting if he could secure it. Trusts that Crookes approves and will assume that he does, if he does not hear further from him.

Encloses another uninvited proposal for an exhibit, on which he would be glad of an opinion [not enclosed].
