TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor William Dobinson Halliburton, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date5 July 1905
DescriptionHas re-suspended the certificate in favour of Professor A B Macallum's candidature as Halliburton requested in his letter of the previous day. In answer to Halliburton's enquiry about Burke's paper, the manuscript was sent to Horace Brown in the first instance at Professor Larmor's suggestion, Mr Hardy whom Halliburton nominated as first referee, being too busy at the time to report. Horace Brown reported that the whole of the experimental details and reproductions of the microphotographs had been published in 'Nature', Professor [Joseph] Larmor, who communicated the paper, deiced to withdraw it, and the paper was therefore returned to Mr Burke. Encloses Brown's report [not enclosed].
