DescriptionEncloses a paper by Dr J W Eyre, A N Leathem and J W Washbourn, 'A Study of Different Strains of Pheumococci with special reference to the Lesions they produce' [not enclosed]. The question of the acceptance of the paper for the '[Philosophical] Transactions [of the Royal Society]' or 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' is referred to the Deputy Chairman by Sir A Geikie. The paper is estimated to make 26 pages of print and the five coloured figures to make two plates. Asks Starling which publication the paper should be accepted for. If for the 'Transactions' Harrison asks Starling to nominate two Fellows as referees. If for the 'Proceedings', asks if printing may proceed at once under Standing Order 35.
