DescriptionIn answer to Carden's letter of 8 August, the Society has a portrait of Brook Taylor in its possession, which was painted by A Ramsay and presented to the Society by Sir W Young FRS, and also an engraving, after an original picture in the possession of Lady Young, presented in 1889 by Professor A G Greenhill FRS. In order to procure a photograph of the picture it would be necessary to obtain leave from the Council of the Society.
