Title | Copy letter from Joseph Larmor and Archibald Geikie, to Count Johann Heinrich von Bernstorff |
Date | 8 November 1905 |
Description | The Secretaries present their compliments and acknowledge receipt of the Count's letter and accompanying parcel addressed to the British National Antarctic Expedition, continuing two parts of the published results of the German Antarctic Expedition. There is no permanent organisation of the British Antarctic Expedition possessing a library in which these publications could be preserved, the expedition having been organized jointly by the Royal Society and Royal Geographical Society. Asks if it would be the wish of the Imperial German Government that the work should be preserved in the library of the Royal Society, or dealt with in some other way. |
