TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to H J Read, Colonial Office
Date18 December 1905
DescriptionHarrison has noted that a Colonial Office letter states that a grant of £500 to the Royal Society's Tropical Disease Committee is to be renewed, but they are yet to receive the money for that year. He requests that payment is arranged before the end of 1905 as their Special Funds Account, into which it will be paid, is so low that the Sleeping Sickness Commission is in debt to other researches which have funds in that account. The £500 they have so far received that year was the Foreign Office contribution, which would make up the £1000 needed to send out Minchin and cover associated expenses.
