DescriptionHarrison states that their letter from the American Philosophical Society inviting the Royal Society to send a representative to the Anniversary of Benjamin Franklin celebrations was presented to the Council of the Royal Society, who nominated Sir George Darwin and other Fellows to attend. They also wrote and sealed an address for presentation to the American Philosophical Society, which he wants conveyed to Darwin who has already departed for the USA. He asks if he may be allowed to send the Address to the Embassy, packed so that it may be forwarded to Darwin's address to ensure it reaches him prior to the ceremony the following month.
