DescriptionThe Secretary's letter of 1 March asking for a grant in aid of the publication of a report by Mr Grossland to the Sudan Government on the pearl fisheries of the Red Sea was considered by the President and Council at their last meeting but in the absence of sufficient information regarding the nature of the investigations and with regard to the share of the expense to be undertaken by the Sudan Government, the Council are not prepared to make a grant from the Publication Grant. Returns the documents the Secretary lent on Monday [not enclosed].
