TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Sir George Clarke
Date14 September 1906
DescriptionThe papers by Messrs Robertson and Napper communicated by Clarke were referred in due course, but the report was so unfavourable to their publication by the Royal Society that it was deemed best to withdraw them from reading and obtain another expert opinion. This has been received and has not improved the situation. It is suggested the papers might be withdrawn. It remains with Clarke to consider whether to withdraw them, or leave the matter to the Physics and Chemistry Committee, who will probably consign them to the archives, in which case they could not be returned or lent out of the house for copying.
