TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Sir William Henry Preece, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date17 January 1907
DescriptionLarmor has two reports on Sir T Wrightson's paper. It will come before the Physics Committee on 31 January, and Larmor has no doubt that they will decline to publish it. It's possible they may print an extract in 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. Larmor is stating these facts bluntly to Preece in order that the latter may advise him in how to advise Wrightson. He will doubtless prefer to publish his views in his own way, and so the paper will have to be withdrawn. The referee's reports refer to the mechanical explanations, and make no judgement on the anatomical.
