TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to [William Napier] Shaw, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date2 February 1907
DescriptionHas his letter with the enclosures from Bernacchi and Wilson. Geikie will keep hold of these until the question he raises is settled. Geikie has no objection to the payment of Bernacchi for any work he may do for the Royal Society, but the matter needs the sanction of the Treasurer, who would fix the rate of recommendation. Geikie shall see about this without delay. The 14 February would suit for the meeting at Shaw's office at 2.30. Hopes will it also suit [Joseph] Larmor who has been laid up with a chill, but is getting better.
