Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Joseph Lamor, Secretary of the Royal Society |
Date | 5 February 1907 |
Description | Sending a copy of the draft Minutes of the Physics Committee, to inform him what was done at the meeting. Larmor will see that the Committee recommended the suggestion of the definite withdrawal of Bousfield's paper, and Harrison has therefore modified accordingly the note written to Bousfield, intimating that the better plan would be for him to withdraw his paper.
The Committee could do nothing with the [William] Crooke's matter on Thursday because Harrison did not know what passed between Larmor and Crookes, and there was nothing before the Committee but his two notes relating to details so the Committee postponed the matter.
Sending on the engravers' note on Maclaurin's diagrams, which was referred to them with Larmor's proposal. Was afraid that the direct reproduction on such a small scale was not practicable. Suggests reproducing them on a small scale and having them redrawn for the purpose. Also sending on a note from the Treasury about Eskdalemuir [no enclosures]. |
