DescriptionProfessor Joseph Larmor wishes Schuster to have Professor McKendrick's report on Sir Thomas Wrightson's paper 'On the Impulses of Compound Sound Waves, and their Mechanical Transmission through the Ear', communicated by Lord Kelvin, along with the paper with memo and notes from Larmor. Lord Rayleigh's referee report is enclosed. Asks what action Schuster thinks should be taken. Reminds him that the Committee resolved not to accept the paper if the second referee was unfavourable.
