TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor Minchin, Lister Institute of Preventive Medicine
Date19 March 1907
DescriptionOwing to the absences of some important members of the Tropical Diseases Committee, a meeting could not be held until yesterday. The Committee fully considered Minchin's letter, and it was resolved to accept his proposal to return to Uganda around the start of September, and to be gone for no less than six months. They decided that in view of the limited funds at their disposal and of the important work Dr Thomson is undertaking with Professor Cushny and Mr Plimmer, that he should not accompany Minchin. They recommended £300 for this expedition, and that the Colonial Office should be requested to give all facilities for carrying on the investigation.
